Class Description


May 11th, 10:30-12 p.m.
 
Each child will create 2 projects out of clay at every class.  Some projects will combine handbuilding and pottery wheel pieces.  Project topics are listed in the name above.  Every child will receive instruction to handbuild, glaze and experience the pottery wheel.  This class is not intended to be a lesson on the pottery wheel but more of an experience.  This class is great for all ages. 
 
Projects are represented in pictures above.  All projects are open to interpretation.  Children are encouraged to take their own path and create differently within the basic assembly guidelines.

We regret that we cannot grant refunds for event registrations. If we must cancel an event due to low enrollment, you will be given the option to move your registration to another class or receive a full refund. COVID related illness or emergency will be either transferred or refunded.

We reserve the right to cancel events and classes due to low enrollment or extreme weather. Registrants will be notified via email 24 hours prior to class if an event is cancelled.
Ages 5-7 can enjoy this session with active parent / helper involvement. Children 8 or older do not require adults in the room. Parent discrection on this matter is appreciated. Masks and social distancing are mandatory for class safety.

**Class is limited to 10 participants. If your class in cancelled for low attendance, you will be notified 24 hours in advance & have the choice to re-book for the next available session or receive a full refund.
Masks will be required during the entire class and while in the building. Social distancing will be followed as much as possible. Parents are encouraged to stay for the class and can join in on the clay project (not the pottery wheel) at no charge to help assist in guidance for their children. If you or anyone attending class with you show COVID symptoms please do not come to class. We all understand there is very much unknown about this virus. Some symptoms listed below are pretty common for allergies and other illnesses. To do my part in protecting the many families coming in I simply ask anyone displaying these symptoms to stay home. I will either move you to a make-up class or refund your cost.

Symptoms include:

Fever or chills

Cough

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Fatigue

Muscle or body aches

Headache

New loss of taste or smell

Sore throat

Congestion or runny nose

Nausea or vomiting

Diarrhea
Parents are encouraged to come into the building as a family and stay

Please register one space for a single child and two spaces for a family up to 4 kids for a total of $30/$20. Families of 5 or more need to register using three spaces for a total of $45/$30. All classes are limited for social distancing. All families will be able to set together during classes. PLEASE EMAIL/TEXT ME IF YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR A FAMILY OF 3 OR MORE TO HELP PREPARE THE TABLES APPROPRIATELY. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to join and encouraged to participate at no charge. The free parent participation will be limited to the handbuilding in clay and the fused glass. All supplies are included. Projects will be delivered the next class date or in about 3-4 weeks from the finish. Please bring your own boxes and bags to save on materials and costs for wrapping finished pottery. Sometimes items have to be re-fired in the kiln. This may hold delivery over until later. Please understand if projects are delayed. If something breaks I either try to repair it or offer a potential make-up. Projects are never guaranteed as glazing, drying and firing can sometimes be a delicate process. I strive to leave every workshop with happy participants. Facebook questions are not guaranteed to be seen. Please list the participants name when signing up. When paying for classes or deposit you will proceed as though your buying a product. Remember you are paying for a class or classes. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTICIPANTS TO CONTACT ME BY EMAIL, PHONE OR TEXT IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PICK-UP POTTERY OR FUSED GLASS BY THE LAST SESSION. THE LAST SESSIONS POTTERY WILL BE EXPLAINED AT THE CLASS ON WHEN IT MIGHT BE SET OUT FOR PICK-UP.

If you are unable to pickup pottery or glass by the last session please contact me so we can make arrangements. If you need to have any pottery mailed the basic costs would be $10 for the first piece and $3 a project thereafter. I have mailed many items so this could be an option. You can Paypal me the money or pay when I see you at an earlier class. My Paypal is claymansouth@gmail.com. PLEASE SEND IT FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO AVOID A 5% CHARGE.
